Investing in Our Community: Celebrating 85 Years of Giving Back
July 29, 2026
At Iowa State Bank, community has always been at the heart of everything we do. As we celebrate 85 years of serving Central Iowa, we're proud of our strong heritage and our continued commitment to reinvesting in the Greater Des Moines community through charitable giving, sponsorships, and volunteerism.
Supporting local organizations is one of the many ways we help strengthen the communities where we live and work. Recently, we were honored to contribute $50,000 to the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden's Welcome, Gather, Grow Capital Campaign. Our gift will help modernize the Botanical Garden's facilities to accommodate more visitors while creating optimal growing environments that will preserve and enhance its beautiful plant collections for years to come.
We're also proud to give back to organizations that support local fair housing initiatives. Iowa State Bank gave a gift of $3,000 this year to the Polk County Housing Trust Fund, whose vital role is in advancing equitable access to housing throughout Greater Des Moines that helps individuals and families find and maintain stable homes.
Beyond financial contributions, our employees continue to make a meaningful impact through volunteer service. Annually, Iowa State Bank employees volunteer with over 30 different non-profit organizations, contributing a total of 500+ volunteer hours. Their generosity, compassion, and willingness to give back reflect the values that have defined Iowa State Bank for 85 years.
To everyone who has shared their time and talents to strengthen our community, we would like to say THANK YOU. Your dedication makes a lasting difference.
As we celebrate our milestone anniversary this year, we remain committed to supporting the organizations and initiatives that make Greater Des Moines a vibrant place to live, work, and grow. We look forward to continuing our tradition of community investment for many years to come.
